Curator’s note

Patria roasts its own organic coffee in small batches, and the house espresso is a named single origin, De La Patria, that changes weekly. The storefront exists because the neighborhood crowdfunded it, and the sign carries the word for homeland.

The coffee

House-roasted organic sourced from cooperatives of small growers, with a named single-origin house espresso, De La Patria, that rotates weekly, and retail bags that name the producer and the honey process behind them.

SideStudio designed the shop and roastery as one 950-square-foot room, finished in April 2022. The brief was a shared space for people, culture, and coffee, and the cozy Alameda Street storefront holds to it.
