Golden Lantern Coffee Roasters
A tasting room in charcoal and dark wood, with the 15-kilo Mill City roaster in view next door.
Curator’s note
Everything roasts in the building on Mill City machines, a 15-kilo and a 3-kilo, and the August 2026 lineup ran seventeen named coffees carrying producer, micro-region, varietal, process and altitude. Kelsey Rosenblum designed the room herself and furnished part of it out of the family house, and yet no product page carries a roast date and no drink menu is published at all.
The coffee
All roasting happens on-site on the Mill City 15-kilo and 3-kilo machines, with green sourced primarily through Hacea Coffee in Anaheim, and the August 2026 lineup of seventeen named coffees runs from a $40 Colombia Finca Capri Gesha to an Ethiopia Faysel Abdosh Karamo Anaerobic Natural whose page names the farmer, the Sidamo micro-region, and 1,900-2,300 meters of altitude. Pull & Pour Coffee scored the Golden Hour blend and a Brazil Tres Pontas at 9.0/10 apiece, though no product page prints a roast date.
Co-founder Kelsey Rosenblum designed and built this one out herself, down to much of the artwork — dark-stained wood, charcoal walls, concrete floor, filament bulbs strung on a black ceiling grid over a long communal table, and furniture partly carried in from the family home. It is half of a 1,400-square-foot industrial suite with the Mill City roasters working in full view on the other side, which is the most honest thing a tasting room can be.
