Curator’s note

Everything poured here is roasted at the Tarzana flagship: eight exclusively traceable single origins, with bag pages running down to farm, producer, varietal, process and altitude. What Encino does not get is the roaster itself, so it compensates in color — burgundy where the flagship is navy, and a Julia Soria coffee mural on the wall outside.

The coffee

One catalog serves all three cafes: eight traceable single-origins at $22, bought through Sustainable Harvest and Covoya, with bag pages carrying farm, producer, varietal, process, and altitude but no roast date anywhere. Retail stock runs thin — five of the eight bags were sold out in August 2026.

Tarzana is navy for Tachejian's son; this room is warm burgundy, dedicated to Aubrey — a brand system where the paint color changes with the child it is named for. Julia Soria of PrettyGoodPainters painted the outside wall from bean to finished cup, and the framed burlap bags and gold-and-black pendants carry over from the flagship.
